John Paul II Route

A sentimental journey along the Pope’s trail will take you across southern Poland and reveal the story of his life. The tour provides thorough information on the circumstances that led to the second-longest pontificate in modern times. It also introduces the visitors to the great personality of this philosopher and defender of traditional Catholic values. Visit John Paul II’s birthplace in Wadowice, Kalwaria Zebrzydowska - the Europe’s largest Calvary sanctuary, and the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy in Łagiewniki with the relics of the first saint of the Third Millennium, St. Faustyna Kowalska, canonised by John Paul II.
